Hewlett-Packard Co. introduced its new PC.

The unit, priced at $4,995, is the first personal computer that provides the performance benefits of a Unix operating system in an easy-to-use, transportable package, the Palo Alto firm said. Designed for scientists and engineers, the new integral PC weighs 25 pounds and features a built-in, full-size keyboard. It employs a 16/32-bit microprocessor as its central processing unit.
