Mary Tyler Moore, Kenny Rogers, Robert Preston and Shelley Winters are among the celebrities who will be seen on "Night of 100 Stars II," a three-hour entertainment special airing on ABC this spring. Others who've been set to appear include Helen Hayes, Debbie Allen, Lucille Ball, Chevy Chase, John Forsythe, Jimmy Stewart and Catherine Deneuve. The program is a fund-raiser for the Actors' Fund of America.
Blair Brown, Lynn Redgrave, David Ogden Stiers and Richard Kiley star in a remake of "The Bad Seed," the story of a 9-year-old girl who is a murderer. The TV film is scheduled to air Feb. 14 on ABC. Carrie Wells will play the girl, re-creating the role Patty McCormack played in the 1956 movie.
NBC has renewed "Late Night With David Letterman" for another year. The show, which debuted Feb. 1, 1982, airs Monday through Thursday at 1:30 a.m.
James Coco and William Shatner are among the stars of "The Bradbury Chronicles," a three-part anthology series to be seen in the near future on the Cinemax pay-cable channel. The series consists of dramatizations of three short stories by Ray Bradbury. He wrote the adaptations and serves as one of the executive producers.
