Construction has begun at Otay Valley and Maxwell roads, Chula Vista, for the $25-million, 40-acre Otay Valley Business Park, called that city's largest industrial development by the park's leasing agent, Iliff Thorn & Co. of San Diego..
Phase 1 consists of three buildings designed by HCH & Associates, with 25,000, 35,000 and 45,000 square feet for a total of 105,000. When all 19 lots are completed, according to Sammis Properties, the developer, the park will have more than 500,000 square feet of space. Completion of the first phase and formal opening of the park are expected this spring.
Park Past Midpoint
Work is nearly completed on the $10-million Viewridge Business Park on Viewridge Avenue adjacent to Balboa Avenue in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, with an opening planned in February.
The 77,400-square-foot research and development office project, designed by Howard Oxley and Duncan & Associates, will contain three two-story buildings. The developer is WesTerra Development Corp., Nielsen Construction Co. is the general contractor, Grabhorn Engineering Corp. is the civil and Stedman & Dyson the structural engineers, and the leasing agent is Grubb & Ellis.
