Mervyn E. Kirshner of the Seeley Co. has been selected as the 14th recipient of the Roy C. Seeley Award of the Southern California chapter of the Society of Industrial Realtors.
A senior marketing executive in the firm's Torrance office, Kirshner is a past president of the chapter and a frequent speaker at industrial real estate marketing seminars across the country under the auspices of the society's national office.
He also is a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Assn. and the Los Angeles Board of Realtors. Kirshner has served in the Los Angeles Parking Management Authority and, as a member of the Los Angeles Economic/Development Council, was appointed by Mayor Tom Bradley to the Los Angeles Local Development Co. Inc.
The Seeley Award is given in memory of the late Roy C. Seeley, founder of the company bearing his name and one of the founders of the society in the early part of World War II.
The chapter said the award is presented to "an outstanding member who has maintained high standards of professionalism, demonstrated honesty and integrity, and commanded the respect of his peers." Service to the community and the industry is also considered.
