Fire that may have been caused by a faulty gas connection to a kitchen range sent a woman and her two young children fleeing from their Santa Ana apartment, fire officials said. Deputy Fire Chief Bill Reedy said the woman, Elisa Lopez, and her two sons, Roberto, 4, and Mario, 2, escaped through a window and were not injured. The fire caused an estimated $33,000 damage.
