Pair Wins Award from Landscapers

February 03, 1985

Los Angeles City Councilman Marvin Braude and the late Martha McClean of Riverside have been named winners of the 1984 Concerned Citizens Award of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Braude was cited for his "dedication to securing controlled growth and open space dedication in the sensitive hillsides of Los Angeles." McClean, who died early last year, was recognized for her role "in preserving land along the Santa Ana River for use as a future recreational corridor for Riverside County residents and for her 20 years of promoting development of public recreation areas."
