Five free workshops exploring Pasadena's architectural heritage--perhaps the richest in Southern California--will be offered beginning Saturday at the Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave. The sponsor is the city's Cultural Heritage Commission.
The first lecture, held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will be given by Robert Winter and is an "Introduction to Pasadena Architecture." Denver Miller will discuss "Victorian Pasadena" from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 9. Leslie Heumann will talk about "The Arts and Crafts Movement in Pasadena from 1 to 4:30 p.m. March 16 and Maggie Valentine will discuss "Pasadena in the Twenties and Thirties" from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 23.
