Santa Ana College's softball team (9-0) won the Citrus College Invitational tournament for the second straight season with a 13-2 victory against Citrus (3-4) in Saturday's final game.
The Dons beat Citrus, 7-3, in Saturday's semifinal before meeting again in the final, which was called after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Chris Makimoto (4-0) was the winning pitcher in the semifinal, and Lani Silva (5-0), named the tournament's most valuable player, pitched the Dons to the championship victory. Silva also had five hits in six at-bats and four RBIs Saturday. Santa Ana shortstop Sam Arledge, who was 4 for 6 with three RBIs Saturday, was named the tournament's outstanding hitter.

Fullerton 8, Palomar 0--Sophomore pitcher Stephanie Fresquez's no-hitter led the Hornets to a win in the Fullerton College Tournament.
Fresquez, a right-hander, had a perfect game going into the seventh inning, but she walked the leadoff hitter. It was the second consecutive no-hit game for Fresquez.
