Orion and Home Box Office announced a deal.

February 26, 1985

The two New York-based companies said Orion Pictures will provide HBO the pay-cable rights to Orion's next 14 motion pictures and domestic home-video rights to 40 movies from Orion's film library. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Orion Chief Financial Officer Michael Garstin noted that the new agreement provides for the non-exclusive pay-TV licensing of Orion films, in contrast to the exclusive terms of an earlier agreement.
