The Minnesota Vikings want to draft University of Miami quarterback Bernie Kosar with their first pick in the NFL draft April 30.

Kosar is eligible to play two more college seasons but has said he will decide by Monday whether to turn pro.

Minnesota will draft third, behind Buffalo and Houston. Buffalo has already signed its pick, Virginia Tech lineman Bruce Smith. Houston doesn't figure to draft a quarterback, since it signed Warren Moon to an expensive contract last year.

Three University of Colorado football players arrested for breaking into an athletic storage shed were suspended from the team. They are quarterback Tom Stone, kicker Dave DeLine and split end Joe Thompson.

They were arrested at 2 a.m. Sunday by university police. The Boulder, Colo., district attorney's office was considering charging the three with second-degree burglary and criminal trespassing.
