NBA Roundup : Erving, Toney Lead 76ers Past Kings

Julius Erving scored 26 points and Andrew Toney scored 13 of his 21 in the final quarter to lead the Philadelphia 76ers past the Kansas City Kings, 127-119, Thursday night at Kansas City.

With the score tied, 97-97, the 76ers outscored Kansas City, 9-2, behind seven points from Toney, and the Kings never caught up.

Moses Malone added 23 points and 15 rebounds for Philadelphia. Mike Woodson had 23 points for the Kings and Eddie Johnson added 21.

Golden State 124, Portland 120--Purvis Short scored 35 points and Sleepy Floyd added 30 as the Warriors beat the Trail Blazers at Oakland for their fourth victory in seven games.

The Warriors won 11 of their first 51 games before the hot streak.

Jim Paxson scored 31 for Portland.

Cleveland 120, Seattle 95--Roy Hinson scored 22 points and World B. Free added 21 as the Cavaliers beat the SuperSonics at Tacoma, Wash., for their fourth straight road victory.
