Recent releases have taken over the No. 1 spots on both the sales and rental divisions of Billboard magazine's list of the nation's most popular videocassettes. "The Woman in Red" replaces "All of Me" as the top rental item, while "Star Trek III" dislodges "Purple Rain" as the best seller.

BITS: Grammy winners Tina Turner and Lionel Richie both enter the Top 10 sales with their new music videocassettes. . . . All three "Star Trek" features are in the Sales Top 10. . . . New residents of the Top 10 on the rentals chart are "Red Dawn" and "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai." . . . New arrivals on the sales chart: "Once Upon a Time in America" (No. 27) and "Red Dawn" (No. 36). New on the rentals list are "Star Trek III" (No. 8), "Bachelor Party" (No. 34) and "Revenge of the Nerds" (No. 35).
