George Honchar has been named president of Miss Universe Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Paramount Pictures Corp. Harold Glasser, who has been president since 1958, will become chairman of the unit.
Besides the annual Miss Universe pageant--well into its third decade--Miss Universe Inc. stages two other live-telecast beauty contests, Miss Teen U.S.A. and Miss U.S.A.
Security Pacific National Bank, Los Angeles, announced the following promotions:
C. Thomas Cook, senior vice president-financial management and control department of the bank's Automation Co.; Kathleen M. Cooper, senior vice president and economist-national and financial economics department of the Economics Group; Everett G. McDonough Jr., senior vice president-community relations department of the Corporate Relations Group, and Kemp L. Mitchell, senior vice president-international money management department of the Capital Markets Group. Also, Linda J. Foss was named senior vice president and secretary of the bank and of Security Pacific Corp., the bank's parent firm. She replaces John H. Harriman, who is retiring.
Walter N. Rose has been named vice president-marketing and Ronald L. Whitney has been named vice president-manufacturing at Ibis Systems Inc., a maker of Winchester disk drives based in Westlake Village.
