A permanent location for a continuation high school and revised attendance boundaries for intermediate schools will be the subjects of two public hearings scheduled by the Palos Verdes Unified School District.
At 7 p.m. today, consultants hired by the district will receive public comments on a proposal to locate a continuation high school either at the closed La Cresta Elementary School in Rolling Hills or at the Margate Intermediate School, which is scheduled to close at the end of the school year in June.
At 8 p.m. on Monday, the school board will hold a public hearing on revised attendance boundaries for the district's remaining three intermediate schools--Ridgecrest, Malaga Cove and Dapplegray. About 500 students now attending Margate will be reassigned to the three schools.
Both meetings will be at the district headquarters, 3801 Via La Selva, in Palos Verdes Estates. Drafts of environmental impact reports are available at each school site, public libraries and the district office and through PTA presidents.
