49ers Add Coach--Larry Reisbig, head football coach at Pasadena City College the last three years, has been named an assistant coach at Cal State Long Beach. Reisbig will be in charge of running backs and also serve as an administrative assistant to Coach Mike Sheppard. The 49ers opened spring practice Tuesday.

Junior Tennis Winner--Willy Quest of Long Beach won the 14-and-under title in the Long Beach Junior Tennis Championships last Sunday. Quest defeated Andy Joe of Fullerton, 6-4, 6-3.

Girls in AYSO Championships--The Just Ducky girls soccer team will compete in the Southern California championships of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Saturday in Upland. The team is comprised of girls ages 10-12 from cities in southeastern Los Angeles County and northwestern Orange County. Just Ducky advanced to the AYSO championships by winning the Region 54 title and capturing the Section 11 crown. In Region 54, the team went 13-0-1. The team has scored 32 goals and allowed just two in postseason play.

Swimmers Advance--Nineteen members of the Long Beach Synchronettes girls swimming team will compete in the National Age Group Championships of synchronized swimming in Canton, Ohio. The event begins Sunday. The top three finalists in each age category advanced to the national finals from sectional action March 15-17 in Arizona. The Synchronettes work out at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.
