'Indecency'

April 09, 1985

Supervisor Michael Antonovich and his prompters in trivia proclaim the silly season once again with a diversion from matters that matter.

Their objection to Elysium is quite palpably simple outrage at nudity. George Bernard Shaw, in deference to aesthetics, was not nudist, but he summarized the fatuous prurience of such as Antonovich perfectly with the remark: "Someone is always trying to convict God of indecency."
