Alhambra

April 11, 1985

The City Council has asked the state to declare a section of Alhambra a "depressed area" in need of private investment and thus eligible for tax incentives and regulatory relief under the state Enterprise Zone Act. The state has invited cities to nominate candidates for enterprise zones and will designate 10 areas for special tax and regulatory treatment. The council has suggested the Alhambra area bounded by Main Street on the north, Hellman Avenue on the south, Raymond Avenue on the west and Atlantic Boulevard on the east.
