NORFOLK, Va. — The carrier Coral Sea, its bow partially crushed and splattered with oil from a collision with a tanker off Cuba, returned to its home port Wednesday for repairs.

The 973-foot carrier and its 4,500-member crew docked at the Norfolk Naval Station, and will move to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth later this week for four to six weeks of repairs, said Lt. Cam Martin, a Navy spokesman.
