Saving Network Tv: The People Respond

April 21, 1985

The Calendar Letters Page on April 14 appealed--in all semi-seriousness--to the reader-masses for fresh, new ideas to help save network television. The generosity of readers has been ample and heartwarming. The least frivolous contributions are segregated in the box at the right. The rest follow.

"Room 38 D"--Dr. Mitch Torque is a maverick plastic surgeon who calls upon his past experiences as a private detective and Kung Fu master in fighting poor breast implant surgery. He is assisted by a bevy of buxom beauties who go undercover to expose shoddy breast work. There is also lots of rock music and tasteful car chases and shoot outs.

What TV needs is more shows with beautiful chicks with firm breasts. I'm tired of all the new meaningful shows that don't have swimsuit shots. When they start putting more breasts on prime time, then I'll stop watching PBS.
