E. Floyd Kvamme, a well-known figure in the electronics industry, resigned as a director of Lotus Development, a major independent software producer based in Cambridge, Mass.
Kvamme, a former top executive with Apple Computer and National Semiconductor, cited his increased responsibilities with the San Francisco venture-capital firm of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers as his reason for not seeking reelection to the board.
