The New York Port Authority sided with TWA.

May 30, 1985

The authority, which operates three major airports in the New York metropolitan area, said it is concerned "that any transfer of the airline's control or ownership could result in a diminution of activity by that airline" at Kennedy, La Guardia and Newark airports.
