A man dubbed the "Lovers' Lane Rapist" by police he eluded for four years has been found guilty of 49 felonies involving sexual assaults on women in remote eastern Contra Costa County trysting spots. A Martinez jury of five women and seven men returned the verdict against Steven L. Knox, 31, of Bethel Island. He was convicted of multiple counts of kidnap, rape, oral copulation, sodomy and false imprisonment involving seven women and their companions.
