Maxicare has leased 94,000 square feet of space in Union Bank Center in what is being called "the largest office lease signed on the Westside in the last 15 months."
The Times has learned that the value of the lease is about $19 million.
Maxicare Health Plans Inc. will move from its Hawthorne headquarters to the 10-story, twin tower at 5200 W. Century Blvd. in the Los Angeles International Airport area by late August, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented the Hapsmith Co., Beverly Hills-based owner/developer of the project. Maxicare was represented by Matlow-Kennedy Corp.
