MOSCOW — The Soviet Union today launched an unmanned supply ship that is scheduled to reach two cosmonauts aboard the orbiting Salyut-7 space station Sunday, the official Soviet press agency Tass said.

Tass said the spacecraft, Progress-24, was carrying 900 pounds of freight to veteran cosmonauts Vladimir Dzanibekov and Viktor Savinykh. The Soviet spacemen blasted off on June 6 and linked up with the space station three days later.
