Commerce

June 27, 1985

The city has established a real estate advisory service listing available property in Commerce for businesses considering moving to Southern California.

The free service is available at City Hall. It provides computer listings of all sites for sale or lease and information including zoning, square footage, ceiling height, year of construction, number of buildings on the site and details about loading docks, truck entrances and railroad service.

Ray Ramirez, city business license officer, said the service is an attempt to match businesses with available property and obtain jobs and sales tax revenues for the city.

Commerce, home of more than 50 Fortune 500 companies, has 1,700 commercial buildings, 51 of which are vacant, Ramirez said.
