June 27, 1985|Associated Press

WASHINGTON — First Lady Nancy Reagan traveled to Phoenix Wednesday to visit her ailing mother, the White House announced.

Betsy Coons, a spokeswoman for the First Lady, said there had been no change in the condition of Mrs. Reagan's mother and that she was simply keeping the travel plans she had made before the Beirut hostage situation brought the cancellation of her West Coast vacation.
