Richard L. Hall, president of Orange-based La Linda Homes and one of the most active members of the California housing industry, was presented the annual Rodney Radom Award at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco.
The award honors dedication and service to the industry and commemorates the first executive director of the Pacfic Coast Builders Assn. Hall has been active in local, state and national organizational levels for 30 years.
Hall served twice as president of the PCBC, in 1977 and 1978, and is a life director of the organization. He has chaired the group's annual Gold Nugget Awards since its inception; it has become a major, respected competition honoring excellence in design and land use.
He is also a past president of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California, its Orange County chapter and its Home Builders Council and since 1976 has been a trustee of the Construction Industry Advancement Fund. In 1980, he was named the Builder of the Year by BIA/SC and won its Meritorious Award in 1977 and Achievement Award in 1970.
