Pasadena

City Manager Donald F. McIntyre this week said that he is no longer being considered for the position of San Diego city manager.

McIntyre, who was one of six finalists, had been in San Diego last Thursday interviewing for the job. He said he was notified Friday by San Diego Mayor Roger Hedgecock that he had not been selected for the position, which went to Sylvester Murray, city manager of Cincinnati.

McIntyre, 54, said that he would remain as Pasadena city manager, and had no plans to seek another job.

"I'm certainly not dissatisfied here," he said. "It was just a great opportunity."

McIntyre, whose yearly salary is $87,111, has been city manager of Pasadena for 12 years.
