July 27, 1985

People like Besocke, who write letters to the editor wildly proclaiming seat-belt laws as "Big Brother" and "better suited for a totalitarian state like the Soviet Union," reinforce the need for protecting society from thoughtless individuals.

He probably also believes that it is his right to choose the speed that he drives, or the traffic lights that he observes, or the school buses for which he stops.
