Viewpoint / Letters : It Isn't Enough That Dickerson's Contract Has His Name on It

August 03, 1985

In my line of work, if I do well, I keep my job. In the sports world, athletes are able to go back on their contractual agreements (as Eric says his employers are doing). I think it's about time the owners and fans get equal time. If players have a poor year, then owners can renegotiate their contract, even if it is a legal, binding contact.
