Regarding the disparaging article by Zan Thompson: I shudder to think if I had been misled by such an article 10 years ago before my complete knee replacement. I would have been fearful and would not have had the most successful replacement.
I am a senior citizen and have traveled the world over with complete comfort and agility since the operation. As I recall, it was necessary to use the walker for about a month at home and some therapy, from choice--but good common sense would tell one this would be necessary for a while--a cut finger would need to heal!!!
