Man Turns Self In in Killing: A 23-year-old man surrendered to Anaheim police Tuesday, saying he had killed a woman whose body was found Monday in an open residential garage. Police arrested Carlos Enrique Ovando, a sometime Anaheim resident, but they still have not identified the woman, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old. An autopsy Tuesday concluded that she died of asphyxiation caused by a compression strangulation, Detective Carl Martin said. Police withheld some details, including the location of the garage where the woman's body was found about 2:40 p.m. Monday. Martin said that Ovando spoke only Spanish and that a full interrogation "to see if he actually did the crime" was to be delayed until today. The detective said Ovando gave police certain information that had not been made public.
