Occidental Petroleum reported that a group in which it holds a 30% stake has discovered a natural gas field in southeast Pakistan . . . The International Typographical Union, whose printers and mail-room workers are employed at some 500 newspapers across the United States and Canada, soundly defeated a proposed merger with the Teamsters Union . . . Comerica, Michigan's second-largest banking company, said it plans to sell or close most of its overseas operations because they aren't as profitable as the company would like.
