Mercy General Hospital of Santa Ana has changed its name to Coastal Communities Hospital/South Coast. The new name is part of the complete refurbishing and modernization program at the hospital. "The new name reflects our emphasis on the community we serve and reinforces our change in image," said Robert W. Green, administrator. The 215-bed hospital merged with Dallas-based Republic Health Corp. on Dec. 31, 1984.
