Marijuana

September 04, 1985

Once again, our government shows its true colors by renewing the poisonous paraquat spraying of marijuana. Just because our government doesn't profit from this country's marijuana production, it plans to poison wildlife and, ultimately, its own citizens in order to try and thwart marijuana production and use.

This is the same government that finances a part of its nuclear arsenal from our alcohol and tobacco taxation. So just who is the government protecting? Certainly not the citizens and taxpayers. If that was the case, our government would spray tobacco fields since it causes the same illnesses as marijuana. The only independent factor in this vendetta is that tobacco represents profit for the government whereas marijuana represents zero profit.
