September 06, 1985

Citing "intense competitive pressure," Mobil said it has withdrawn from selling gasoline and diesel fuel in New Mexico, Oklahoma, most of Arkansas, western Texas and the southern part of Nevada. The company said it will continue to market aviation fuel and lubricants in all of the areas affected. The withdrawal affects 37 stations that are owned by Mobil. It also affects 42 other customers, including distributors.
