The Burbank Unified School District Board of Education on Thursday approved a $34-million budget for the 1985-86 school year.
The board unanimously approved the budget, which calls for $2.3 million more in expenditures than last year's budget. It will be forwarded to the county superintendent of schools later this month.
The budget contains no major changes from last year, district officials said.
Mel Ross, district business manager, called the financial condition of the district "fair." Because of the lack of additional state and federal money, the district is "unable to provide adequate dollars . . . for the Board of Education to consider salary increases or other major purchases," he said.
