Fancy Crown, a 4-year-old trotting mare selected as Harness Horse of the Year in 1984, was retired.

Fancy Crown, a daughter of Speedy Crown, had suffered a fractured coffin bone in one of her hoofs. She will be shipped to Hempt Farms, where she will be bred to Super Bowl in 1986.

The mare was retired with 17 victories in 49 starts and earnings of $911,965.
