Jim Ervin broke two tackles and ran over defender Paul Perkins to get into the end zone on an 8-yard run for the winning touchdown with 52 seconds left in the game. Two passes by Darren Del'Andrae of 42 and 46 yards to Todd Wensley and Jon Perlstein set up the game-winning run. Calabasas scored a safety in the fourth quarter when the snap from center went over the head of Bell-Jeff punter Lud Chavez and he was tackled in the end zone.

KEY PLAYERS

Mike Leko led the Bell-Jeff defensive secondary that held QB Darren Del'Andrae to only four completions for 11 yards in the first half. Del'Andrae (C) had a 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. QB Keith Fitzgerald (BJ) completed 12 of 27 passes for 133 yards with one TD pass of nine yards and two interceptions. Tailback Dave Lockwood (BJ) had 10 carries for 48 yards, including a 10-yard TD run and had eight tackles on defense as an outside linebacker.
