George R. Monte, currently on the Strategic Planning Task Force of the city of Pasadena, has been promoted to senior vice president of First Interstate Mortgage Co., a subsidiary of First Interstate Bancorp, Pasadena.

Peggy Dracoules has been named national president of the Interior Design Society, an affiliate of the National Home Furnishings Assn. She is owner and president of Raydra Interiors, Anaheim.

Hamilton G. Smith has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer at Genstar Mortgage, Glendale. Smith was most recently with the Roberts Group Inc. in Simi Valley.

Gilbert Fuentes has been appointed president of PNA Investment Corp., a newly formed nationwide company, an affiliate of Parker North American Corp., headquartered at 840 Newport Centre Drive, Newport Beach. Fuentes has 20 years experience in the financial community.

Carol Anne Houst has joined Koss Financial Corp., Los Angeles, as vice president. She was vice president of acquisitions at Center Financial Group.

Thomas M. Linden has been elected executive vice president and general manager of Calmat Co., Los Angeles, and will be responsible for property development, leasing and acquisition.

Garry A. Jones, former vice president of Artex, has been named controller for TOLD Construction Co. Inc., Camarillo.

Craig Wagner has joined Salerno/Livingston & Partners, San Diego, as a project architect.

Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate Advisory and Appraisal Group has announced new appointments to its regional offices. Ted Yates will be responsible for management of the Los Angeles group office; James Oakman will manage the San Francisco operation.

Steve Games, former vice president of sales and marketing for Watt Industries/San Diego Inc., has been retained as a marketing consultant to the Wolf Homes division of W. Wolf Industries Inc., San Diego.
