Trojans, Apparently, Haven't Yet Learned From Their Mistakes

September 21, 1985

As a USC alumnus and contributor to the athletic department, I wish to express on behalf of myself and hopefully thousands like me, disgust and outrage at what is happening in our athletic program. It personally angers me that we have again--for the third time in the '80s--been found guilty of athletic improprieties in our football program.

I would further like to call for either the immediate resignation of President Zumberge, Athletic Director McGee and head football Coach Ted Tollner, all of whom are apparently incapable of administering an athletic program at a major university, or at least an open letter of apology to all of those, like myself, who are guilty of financing these indiscretions.
