Attention wood carvers, cabinetmakers, wood turners: Ganahl Lumber Co. in Anaheim is giving you a chance to let everyone know how good you are--and let you make some money off your hobby in the process.
The event is the sixth annual Christmas Festival of Woodworking and it will be held Dec. 7 and 8 at the company's facility at 1220 E. Ball Road. Stacks of oak, pine, fir, cedar and redwood will provide a fitting backdrop for the work of about 75 individual craftsmen and craftswomen, according to Valerie Bloom of Ganahl.
All this and Santa Claus, too! The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and the products on display include turned hardwood bowls, fine wood carvings, old-fashioned wooden toys, puzzles, games, furniture, jewelry, sculpture, etc.
Instead of buying the same old kind of gifts this holiday season, you might visit this free event and buy--at an attractive price--something special. Door prize drawings will also be held both days and free refreshments will make this a family event.
