A 29-year-old man was arrested Saturday after police said he threw a dummy grenade into Santa Monica police headquarters.
Robert Evett of Santa Monica was charged with threatening the life of a police officer and carrying a concealed weapon.
Police said Evett walked into headquarters, tossed the dummy grenade and threatened to kill a woman he grabbed inside the station.
Evett was captured by police who said they also found a loaded handgun in a briefcase he was carrying. No one was injured in the incident, police said.
