DEL MAR — George Benson, Erik Estrada, Cheech & Chong and Robert Young, among others, will provide free entertainment Saturday at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for an earthquake relief benefit being held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. by the Del Mar Friends of Mexico.
Other groups providing free entertainment include local jazz group Bruce Cameron, Manuel Duga Mariachis, PD5 and the San Diego Police Color Guard.
"There is entertainment for all ages," said Janet Perry, chairwoman of the Del Mar Friends of Mexico, a group of civic organizations that has formed in the last week in response to the earthquake.
Money for the benefit is being raised through raffles and money donations. Raffles will be held throughout the day for a variety of prizes, such as two tickets to the final Bruce Springsteen concert in Los Angeles, signed lithographs and prints from local artists, and numerous lunches and dinners in San Diego and Orange counties.
