Sports officials in Mexico City said that the 14 soccer stadiums in Mexico that will be used in next year's World Cup tournament are intact despite two recent earthquakes and that the country is gearing up for the event.

The only damage near any of the stadiums was the collapse of a 35-year-old wall not far from the stadium in Toluca, about 40 miles west of Mexico City.
