Narbonne had only 64 yards in offense as Birmingham posted its third consecutive shutout. . . . In the third quarter, Birmingham's Toby Lopez recovered a fumble by Narbonne punter Dwain Merrill in the endzone to give the Braves a 20-0 lead. . . . Narbonne's only scoring threat came when defensive back Mike Lassiter intercepted a pass and returned the ball 36 yards to the Birmingham 19 early in the fourth quarter. On the next four plays Narbonne lost 16 yards as end Bill Garber led Birmingham's defense. . . . The Braves had five TDs called back on penalties.

KEY PLAYERS

Kevin Zietz (B) completed only 6 of 20 passes for 168 yards, but two of the completions were for touchdowns. He threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Jason Shaffer in the second quarter and a 38-yard scoring pass to Mike Flores in the third quarter. Flores (B) had 16 carries for 98 yards and had a 66-yard TD run called back on a holding penalty. Birmingham's defense recorded four sacks for a -20 yards. Dwight Sims (N) led Narbonne is rushing with only 18 yards on 12 carries.
