Affordable--by Simi Valley standards, at least--single-family houses are featured in Griffin Harvest Wood opening today in the Hunter's Field community by Griffin Homes in Simi Valley.
The first two phases feature 64 two-, three- and four-bedroom houses with four floor plans and 930 to 1,590 square feet, priced from $108,950 to $133,950.
The development, scheduled for 92 houses, features Mediterranean-style architecture, ceramic-tile entries, cathedral ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, attached two-car garages and front-yard landscaping.
Occupancy for the first phase of 38 houses is scheduled for December. A monthly homeowners association fee of $48.64 covers maintenance of common areas, including swimming pools and spas, in the 70-acre Hunter's Field development at the easternmost end of Simi Valley.
The sales office and four furnished models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2302 Hampton Ave., near the intersection of Stearns and Birchcroft streets.
