A 50-year-old Bonita man is believed to have had a heart attack while driving Monday, police said. Joseph Mossa's car struck a parked car in Southeast San Diego, then crashed into a nearby delicatessen, police said.

Mossa was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Mercy Hospital, where he died about an hour after the accident. A coroner's deputy said Monday that the cause of death was not yet known.

The accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. when Mossa was driving in the 6300 block of Federal Boulevard, police said.
