Reagan Nominates Oliver as Trade Commission Chief

WASHINGTON — President Reagan announced Wednesday the nomination of Daniel Oliver to be a member of the Federal Trade Commission, and said he would designate him as chairman once he is confirmed by the Senate. Oliver, who would succeed James C. Miller III, has been general counsel at the Agriculture Department since 1983. Miller is now director of the Office of Management and Budget.
