A federal judge in Tucson rejected a defense motion to toss out the alien smuggling case against 11 sanctuary movement leaders because of alleged perjury by the government's key witness. Lawyer William Walker sought the dismissal, claiming paid informant Jesus Cruz "willfully committed perjury." Walker represents Catholic priest Anthony Clark, 37, of Nogales, Ariz., one of 11 Catholic and Protestant leaders from Arizona, Texas and Mexico accused of running an underground railroad for Central American refugees.
